The Butterfly Wonderland Conservatory required a signage system that could accomplish multiple goals without disrupting the immersive guest experience. The signage needed to communicate important conservatory guidelines, educate visitors about butterfly conservation, and encourage guests to remain on designated pathways to protect the habitat—all while blending seamlessly into the natural environment.
I designed a clean, cohesive signage system that balanced functionality with the conservatory's aesthetic. Through thoughtful typography, visual hierarchy, and consistent branding, the signs made rules and educational content easy to understand while complementing the surrounding space. Select signs were also designed to function as subtle physical barriers, naturally guiding guest movement and helping keep visitors on designated paths without relying on intrusive fencing or dividers. The result was a unified signage program that enhanced the guest experience while supporting both conservation efforts and daily operations.
